Myhrtoolkit Support Over Christmas

Please note that the myhrtoolkit office is closed between Christmas Day and the 4th January. During this period support is limited to urgent queries and only available via this help portal. There is good support available on our website at www.myhrtoolkit.com/support. All non-urgent queries will be resolved from January 5th 2015.

Before submitting a request

Your myhrtoolkit account contains a wide range of help files which can be found by clicking the help link in the top right hand corner or help button on the toolbar. In some areas of myhrtoolkit, there is also video help available on the toolbar. Please take a look through these first to find a solution to your problem before submitting your query.

Please ensure that your web browser is the most up to date version you can have before submitting any problem or request to us. If you are unsure how to check this, please see our web browser help guide, or speak to your IT administrator.

Check the myhrtoolkit help portal at www.myhrtoolkit.com/support. You can also use Google. For example, to find information about resetting a user password, Google myhrtoolkit reset user password. Putting myhrtoolkit at the beginning of your searches is important.

Requesting assistance

There are two ways you can alert us to a problem or submit a request for assistance. These are as follows:

Submit a request using the "Submit a Request" link above
Clicking on this will take you to a form to detail your problem or request.
Send an email to support@myhrtoolkit.com
Email us directly. If you wish to do this, please give as much detail as possible.

Keeping track of your request

Once you have submitted your query, you can keep track of your request by logging into our web portal. If you already have a password, you can log in here to view your tickets. If you have not logged into the web portal before, you will need to set a password. To do that, please go here. Your username is the email address you used for your query. You can also reset your password here.

Users can reset their own passwords by clicking on the I’ve forgotten my password link at the bottom of the login form. A step by step guide is available on the myhrtoolkit website at http://www.myhrtoolkit.com/support/how-to-guides/how-to-reset-user-password/

Controller power

Where a user has forgotten their username and password, a controller can help by resetting the user's password via Setup and admin > manually retrieve password. The user's login details will be emailed to the controller's email address shown at the top of the list of names, so that the controller can forward the details to the user. If a controller has not received an email with the details, it is important to check the spam folder or that there are no errors in the email address used or try a different email address. Help from myhrtoolkit

We can reset controller passwords but we are unable to reset users' passwords. Users' passwords can only be reset by themselves or by controllers.  If however, a controller is looking for assistance with the process, we are very happy to help.

You set up a new employee on the system, and they tell you that they haven't received their welcome email - what do you do?

Login details will not be sent until the new employee wizard is fully completed. Start by checking your Management > Message board to see if you have a link that says Resume adding [Employee Name] as an employee.  If you don't have the link, keep on reading, but if you do then click on the link to complete the wizard and get a link to send login details to the employee.

The system will not send login details to employees who have not been given system access. Confirm that the new employee has system access in Setup and admin > System access.  If the employee doesn't have system access, click on the 'Give access' button against their name followed by submit button to get the link to send login details to the new employee.

If the employee already has access, remove access and give it back again by first clicking on 'No access' followed by submit, and then clicking on 'Give access' followed by submit.  Doing so will present you with the link to send login details directly to the employee.

Use the manually retrieve password feature in Setup and admin > manually retrieve password for all other login problems.
