The launch of the new Training Management platform means that existing legacy training records need to be migrated to the new system. The legacy training module has now been switched-off as of the 31st March 2019. We have provided a migration tool to help to automate the move, but some manual intervention is required on the part of a Training Manager.

Selecting Training Managers
Only Training Managers can create and manage training courses.
Before you migrate, you will need to allocate Training Manager permissions to your chosen training managers.
To set Training Managers, click on
Setup & Admin > User Permissions.
To allocate users to the Training Manager, go to
Setup & Admin > Training Managers.

Choosing the best migration method
As no two legacy training record lists are the same, we've developed migration methods that help you migrate as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Please consider both methods:
The two-step migration method involves predefining and then creating Courses. This can be done by exporting your records from the legacy training module and uploading them using our spreadsheet template. You can then migrate your legacy records to the relevant Managed Training Course (or to the Personal Training area).
Exporting your legacy records will no longer be available after the 31st March when the legacy training module is switched off. We recommend exporting your records before this date to ensure you can make full use of the two-step method.
We strongly recommend this method if you have a variety of training courses. We also recommend the two-step migration for any customers who want to predefine their courses and organise their records before migrating. With the spreadsheet template method, there are also more options for adding information, instead of having to go back and add more information at a later stage.

The one-step migration method involves grouping together legacy records by course type to migrate into managed training courses. This allows you to create the courses as and when you need to. You can then migrate any remaining records into the personal training area.
We recommend the one-step migration method for customers who don't have a variety of courses and only need to input a minimum amount of information (course name with options to input qualification type and CPD points). if you want to predefine your courses before migrating your records and add more information, please use the two-step migration method above.

- Migration has been completed when all legacy records have been migrated and all outstanding Training Requests have cleared.
- The Legacy Training tab will be removed and the functionality no longer accessible when migration has been completed.
- If you have not completed the migration by the time that access to the legacy training system is removed, you will not be able to access the old functionality. However, the date will still be available to migrate to the new platform using the Migration functions described in this document.
