What is Gender Configuration?
Gender configuration is feature within the Toolkit that allows Controllers to add and edit genders.
Note: The 'Not Set' option cannot be changed or deleted.
This feature can be found in
Setup & Admin > Gender Configuration.
You can add genders by selecting the "Add New Gender" button.
Once a gender has been created, you can apply it by navigating to
Setup & Admin > Manage Users (or
Setup & Admin > Gender & Marital status if in the Initial Setup phase).
Within Gender Configuration you can edit existing genders (apart from "Not Set") either by clicking the gender name or by clicking the teal button to the right of each entry.
Genders can also be deleted (apart from "Not Set") by selecting the red button to the right of each entry.
Note: When a gender is removed, any users it was assigned to will be returned to "Not Set".
Importing New Users
When importing new employees, the system's import page will show you the default gender values (even if any changes have been made in the Gender Configuration page).
While you are populating the import spreadsheet, you can enter genders that aren't currently on the Toolkit.
When you upload a spreadsheet containing new genders that aren't on the system, the Toolkit will automatically add the new genders in Gender Configuration.
