Different users in the system can access different things. This depends on what type of user they are and what permissions they have been given.
For example, if you are a Controller, you automatically see everyone and everything on the system. You are also able to delegate management and/or Health and Safety privileges to users and edit each individual manager's access rights.
Note: Only Managers and Controllers can be given access to Health and Safety tools.
Managers are able to see the information for the team that they're set to line manage. However, the amount of information for their team may be restricted based on the access rights the Controller has chosen for that Manager.
A Controller can add or remove a manager (and the users they manage) by navigating to
Setup & Admin > Managers.
When you have added a manager onto the system, you will be able to restrict access to certain areas of the Toolkit.
There are 2 areas where access rights can be changed.
This page allows you to edit which areas of the system a certain manager can see.
Managers' Rights - Document Library
This page allows you to edit which tabs within the Document library
(Management > Document Library) the manager is able to see.
Health & Safety Permissions
Health & Safety Permissions allows Controllers to choose which H&S tools each Manager and Controller has access to.
There is also an option to set a "Health and Safety Representative". These are users who receive Health & Safety related email notifications and Controllers can choose anyone (including employees) to be a Health & Safety Representatives.

By default, a line manager will be able to see General absence information, but will not be able to see Sickness information.
To see sickness information, you need to be set as an Absence Manager
(Setup & Admin > Absence Manager).
Absence managers are the only users who can see sickness information for their team (unless you are a Controller, in this case you would see sickness for everyone).
When a manager is set up they will be able to see holiday information such as holidays that have already been booked/taken.
However, a line manager won't be able to view or action holiday requests by default.
Only holiday managers are able to view and action holiday requests.
Controllers can set holiday managers up via
Setup & Admin > Holiday Groups. In addition, they can choose any user they would like the holiday manager to manage holidays for.
Because of this, holiday groups are slightly different in the sense that you can be a holiday manager for someone you don't directly line manage on the system.
This means however, that you won't see any of that user's information other than their holiday requests.
