It is possible to use an Excel (CSV) spreadsheet to bulk upload holiday bookings. This tools is currently available only when your account is in initial setup. Ask staff at myhrtoolkit to change your account from live to initial setup state and vice-versa if your account is already live.
However, if there aren't many bookings (10 or less), it will be faster to add these manually via
Setup & Admin > Employee holiday dates.
Download template spreadsheet
Download the holiday upload spreadsheet template by going to
Setup & Admin. In the description for
Employee holiday dates click on the link that says "Click here"
Click on default spreadsheet to download the template.
Populate spreadsheet with data
You can add or delete rows for an employee as required but the User ID for any user should not be changed. In the below example, Luke Bach's holidays are measured in hours and other employees are in days.
- only dd/mm/yyyy date format is accepted in the "From" and "To" columns
- use decimals in the "Time Off" column (e.g. 1.5 = 1 and a half day)
Upload the spreadsheet
Save your spreadsheet in CSV format
Upload the spreadsheet,
Setup and admin > Employee holiday dates > Click here (the click here link is in the description for Employee holiday dates).
You wont be able to upload the spreadsheet if it contains errors such as a holiday starting before the employment start date, or the from date is greater than the to date. Make corrections and try again.
